Hazel Bank

Hazel Bank is a beautiful Victorian detached house built in 1882 for Mr James Longmire, coal agent of Windermere.

It is unusual in the village for having retained a substantial garden as well as a large yard at the back.

Once used for stabling horses this area now provides ample off road parking for our visitors.

Our elegant bedrooms are warm and comfortable, with either en-suite facilities or separate private bathrooms.

All have TV with tea and coffee making facilities but our guests are also free to use the sitting room where a blazing log fire glows during the winter months.

Hazel Bank Breakfast

Hazel Bank breakfasts have a reputation for quality and variety.

Many guests choose the traditional full English, but vegetarian and ethnic tastes are also fully catered for.

All our food is fresh and sourced from local suppliers.

We are sure you will enjoy our excellent breakfasts, our comfortable bedrooms and the peace and tranquillity of this special house.

.....a little of what you fancy does you good........

Hazel Bank is within five minutes walking distance of the railway station and easy to find by car, being located in Hazel Street, a short cul de sac very close to the heart of the village and local shops.

It provides an ideal base for walkers and cyclists and those who wish to enjoy the beauty of the Lake District in a leisurely fashion.

Jonathan, Hilary and family extend a warm invitation to Hazel Bank, as the base for your Lake District holiday, week-end break or just an overnight stop.
